No23 Recorder is a lightweight audio recording utility for Windows by Ivan Bischof (2003–2005). Designed for simplicity and reliability, it captures sound from your computer’s available audio inputs—including microphone, line-in, and, where supported by your sound card and drivers, the system’s playback stream (“what you hear”). Its uncluttered interface makes it easy to select an input, monitor levels in real time, and start recording with minimal setup.

Highlights:

  • Records from microphone, line-in, and system audio (loopback/stereo mix, if supported)
  • Saves recordings in common formats such as WAV; MP3 encoding is available when an appropriate encoder is installed
  • Adjustable audio settings, including sample rate, bit depth (where applicable), channels (mono/stereo), and bitrate for compressed formats
  • Real-time level meters and input monitoring to help avoid clipping
  • Simple file naming and output folder selection
  • Small footprint optimized for Windows systems of its era (e.g., Windows 98/ME/2000/XP)

Typical uses include digitizing tapes or vinyl via line-in, recording voice notes and interviews, or capturing audio from applications and web streams (subject to driver support and local laws). As the software was developed in 2003–2005, compatibility with newer versions of Windows can vary; system-audio capture depends on your sound hardware and drivers.

No23 Recorder is developed by Ivan Bischof ©2003 - 2005 and is used by 59 users of Software Informer. The names of program executable files are No23 Recorder.exe, No 23 Recorder.exe and No23Recorder.exe. This particular product is not fit to be reviewed by our informers.
